Flourish is an AI facilitator for in-person salons—designed to help groups have deeper, more meaningful conversations together. This Privacy Notice explains how Renaissance Education Studio Inc. ("Flourish," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use our website, mobile apps, and in-person salon experiences.

"Personal information" in this Notice means any information that identifies, relates to, describes, or could reasonably be associated with an identifiable individual.

  • Our mobile app(s) (the "App");
  • Any software, AI-powered tools, and in-person experiences we facilitate, including salons discovered or hosted through Flourish.

1. What Personal Information Do We Collect?

The personal information we collect depends on your interactions with Flourish and the features you use.

We collect personal information in three ways:

1.1 Personal Information We Collect From You

Contact Information

If you contact us, join a salon, or create an account, we may collect:

  • Name

  • Phone number
  • Communication preferences

For hosts, we may also collect optional profile information used to personalize Salon recommendations.

Account Information & Profile Data

When you create a Flourish account (including anonymous Supabase sign-ins), we may collect:

  • Name (or nickname)
  • Phone number
  • Email (if provided)
  • Password or authentication tokens
  • Profile preferences (e.g., topics of interest)
  • Settings, such as notification preferences

Information You Provide During Salon Setup or Participation

Flourish is a facilitator for in-person conversations. To support that:

  • Hosts may add salon titles, themes, or descriptions
  • Participants may join via QR code, link, or phone number
  • You may provide preferences or metadata related to a salon (e.g., comfort level, interests)

These inputs help tailor prompts and generate summaries.

User Content (including AI-related content)

You may create or upload content through our Services, including:

  • Salon descriptions
  • Answers to onboarding or personalization questions
  • Transcripts or audio snippets (if you consent and if local law permits recording)
  • Conversation summaries
  • Reactions, notes, messages
  • Any other text, audio, or media you create

We refer to this as "User Content."

Important:

  • Hosts control whether transcription is enabled in a Salon.
  • Participants will be informed when recording is active, as required by applicable law.

Audio, Transcription, and Salon Analytics (if enabled)

If the host chooses to enable audio capture for a salon:

  • We may capture audio from the host device
  • Generate transcripts, summaries, insights (e.g., who spoke most, themes, highlights)
  • Store this data temporarily or persistently, depending on user settings and legal requirements

You will be notified within the App whenever audio capture is active.

Payment Information

If you purchase a subscription or pay for premium features:

  • We collect your name, email, phone number, billing info
  • We do not store full credit card numbers
  • Payments are processed by external providers (e.g., Stripe)

Feedback and Support

If you provide feedback, respond to prompts, or contact support:

  • We collect the information you provide
  • We may store communications for quality, training, and support purposes

Job Applicants

If you apply for a role with Flourish, we may collect:

  • Resume, CV, and work history
  • Contact information
  • Any other information you choose to provide

1.2 Personal Information Automatically Collected Through Cookies and Tracking Technologies

When you use our Services, we or our service providers may automatically collect:

This information helps us improve product experience, diagnose issues, and optimize performance.

Social Media / Authentication Providers

If you sign in through Google, Apple, or another identity provider, we may receive:

  • Profile photo (optional and only if permitted)

Service Providers

Host or Participant Data

Hosts may provide names or phone numbers of participants they invite to a Salon.

We may collect publicly available information for safety, compliance, or eligibility verification.

2. How Do We Use Personal Information?

We use personal information to provide, improve, and secure Flourish.

  • Facilitate in-person salons and group conversations
  • Generate personalized prompts, summaries, and recommendations
  • Improve our machine-learning models (using aggregated or de-identified data whenever possible)
  • Tailor onboarding and user experiences

To Enable Account and User Management

  • Create and maintain your account
  • Authenticate your identity
  • Manage subscription features
  • Provide customer support

  • Notify you about salon invitations or updates

Product Development & AI Improvements

  • De-identified User Content

to train or fine-tune models powering:

  • prompt generation
  • summarization
  • recommendations
  • quality improvements
  • conversation branching

We do not use identifiable audio recordings or transcripts to publicly train third-party foundation models.

Safety, Security & Compliance

  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or prohibited activities
  • Enforce our Terms of Service

Business Operations

  • Conduct research and analytics

Other Participants in a Salon

When you attend or host a Salon:

  • Participation information

may be visible to other attendees.

Service Providers

We share information with third parties that help us operate Flourish, such as:

  • Cloud hosting providers (e.g., Supabase, AWS)
  • Authentication providers
  • Analytics platforms
  • Transcription and language model vendors
  • Customer support tools
  • Payment processors (e.g., Stripe)

Service providers may only use your information to perform services on our behalf.

Business Partners

If we collaborate with a partner venue, community, or organization:

  • We may share aggregated, de-identified, or statistical information
  • We do not share personal contact information unless you explicitly consent

Business Transactions

Push Notifications

You can manage push notifications in your device settings.

SMS Messages

You can opt out of promotional SMS messages by replying STOP.

(You may still receive essential messages like login codes or salon reminders.)

Access, Update, or Delete Your Information

You can request access, updates, or deletion by contacting support@flourish.club.

We may retain certain information:

  • to maintain security or prevent fraud
  • for legitimate business purposes
  • in de-identified or aggregated formats

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Most browsers allow you to:

  • delete existing cookies

Flourish is not intended for anyone under 18 years old, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
